Everybody loves Tony, he just wasn’t quite match fit/sharp at the start of the season. United lost the CL final for the same reason they always struggle in Europe – SAF loves the 4-4-2. We only won the 2008 CL final because Hargreaves wasn’t a winger, but rather tucked in to help out Carrick and Scholes. In the most recent game, our 4-4-2 got ran over roughshod.

The beauty of being a United fan is being hated by people you’ve never met. I hope Real Madrid can soon ascend to those wonderful heights again.

For me Man Utd are always one player away from being the Dark Side. I couldn’t stand the phoney triumpalism of the early 2000s team who regularly won England but were always shown up in Europe (yet that never seemed to matter to anyone; just infuriating). But I dug CR7-Rooney-Tevez (at the the current Man U’s walk the walk in Europe) and with Antonio Valencia in tow I want them to do well if only for his sake: I always check to see if he’s done the assist and it’s almost always him. Dare I link the Champs League disaster directly to them having dumped him the first half of this season?

Do you mean “eastern Europe”?
Yeah,the correct term about them is that are more racists than fasists.
But,in Italy as well in Germany the “official way” of the ultras groups is the “no politica” way.Of course,in this term they consider that all humans are equal.
Of course there are ultras groups all over Europe that they behave with racist violence and they promote fasist politics (i.e. “Ultras Sur” in Madrid, “boulogne Boys” in Paris.)
