On the 25th of October, Paul, our beloved cephalopod, friend, colleague, comrade, and inspiration, has fallen into eternal sleep. He passed peacefully in the night, from natural causes, with no signs of suffering.
Paul was born in the South of England. As a young Octopus, he enjoyed archery, playing the drums, and a variety of other wholesome activities. His favorite snack was scallops. As a young man, Paul moved to East Germany and dedicated his professional aspirations to the prediction of football matches. Not without a few setbacks, the highlight of his career was a flawless World Cup in 2010. The eventual champion Spain may have tripped up one game, but not Paul.
He is preceded in death by his father, Paul Sr..
He is survived by his wife, Paulina.
As per the wishes of the family, no visitation will be held for the general public. However, a private visitation will be held Wednesday, October 27, at 4pm at our Revered Lady of Red Lobster.
As per his wishes, Paul’s remains will be cremated.
Paul’s funeral will be held Saturday, October 30 in Oberhausen, Germany. A special urn commemorating him will be on permanent display at the Sea Life Aquarium.
