5-0? Yes, 5-0. 5-0. 5-0.

Ha

Wait, you thought United would struggle against Wigan? Rooney scored two goals, Berbatov even managed a sneaky finish after a Scholes chip, and Nani got on the scoresheet for a well-taken free-kick. And to top it off, Nani played in Michael Owen who chipped far post. Wow. How do you feel? Humiliated? Humbled? Embarrassed?

Everything that could go right, did go right. This is a far cry from the Carrick penalty mid-week. And where was Michael? Coincidence? Causation?

The first goal started the flood. Before Rooney’s header they looked awfully week. The midfield is dire

Awful? I am a bit of an optimist, but I really thought Nani looked strong at the start and finish, and Valencia looked committed if not quite competent.

Fletcher and Scholes looked better than Anderson/Carrick midweek at the least. Although granted that is not saying much.
